About Me...

I was raised in circumstances where survival often took precedence over ambition. Although I lost my mother at 18, much of my upbringing was shaped by my grandmother due to instability in my early home life. My grandmother’s strength and resilience continue to influence who I am today. Those early experiences inform my commitment to advocating for individuals who feel judged or overlooked by the system.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I then earned my Juris Doctor from Nashville School of Law, commuting from Chattanooga for four years while working full time for a civil rights attorney—an experience that shaped both my work ethic and my perspective on justice.

As the first in my family to attend college and earn a law degree, I understand what it means to navigate systems that were not built with you in mind. I have built my career on standing in that gap for my clients—ensuring their rights are protected and their voices are heard.

I am a trial attorney with a practice grounded in courtroom advocacy. I represent clients facing serious felony charges, complex litigation, and post-conviction matters—cases where the stakes are at their highest. I have served as first chair in both homicide and sexual offense trials and do not shy away from difficult or unpopular cases. I also recognize that for individuals charged with offenses such as domestic assault or DUI, the consequences can be life-altering, and I approach those cases with the same level of commitment and diligence.

I previously served as a Hamilton County magistrate, where I gained firsthand insight into how quickly critical decisions are made and the lasting impact of those early stages. That experience continues to inform my approach—bringing precision, urgency, and a deep respect for due process to every case I handle.

My approach is straightforward: question assumptions, prepare relentlessly, and never presume the State or government has it right.

I combine extensive trial experience, strategic advocacy, and real-world perspective to defend my clients at every stage—from investigation through verdict and appeal. Whether in the courtroom or in negotiation, my focus remains the same: protect my client, hold the system accountable, and pursue the best possible outcome.
